Alastair Crooke -- Geopolitical Overview of where we stand with Trump and the Anglo-Zionist establishment with regard to the war on Russia

Today, on Judge Nap’s show, Alastair Crooke provided a masterful geopolitical overview of where we stand with Trump and the Anglo-Zionist establishment with regard to the war on Russia. I’ll get to the bottom line right up front.
Crooke maintains, near the end, that what we’re seeing now, with the rampant Euro mongering for continued and even escalated war on Russia, is driven by hatred for and desperation to defeat Trump. Basically, the Euros understand that Trump’s economic program could destroy Europe. The only way to stop Trump is to draw the US into continued and heightened confrontation with Russia, and seriously angering the Russians is one way to accomplish that—no matter the human costs. Crooke maintains that the Anglo-Zionists—both in Europe and in the US political establishment—appear to have Trump “boxed in.”
So let’s work our way through this.
Crooke begins by describing the atmosphere that he experienced during his recent stay in St. Petersburg, Russia’s liberal window to the West. According to Crooke the atmosphere is drastically changed from even just a year ago. Liberal Russians are now as angry at the West as are more nationalist Russians. They are deeply offended at the West’s demonization of Russia and Russians and of their culture as barbaric. The push for sanctions upon sanctions, the constant lies about Russians’ supposed barbarity, has had a cumulative effect on the Russian psyche:
Everyone you speak to understands very clearly—the operation must go on, must continue, because otherwise all this expenditure of life to date is wasted. Because then there will be the next war, the next time the West comes back and attacks us, and then all this blood would have been for nothing. So we have to take this through to conclusion. Everyone understands that. Putin gets it.
And of course the effect is heightened by the grotesquery of current German politics, the movement of German troops to the Russian border with Lithuania.
After everything that St Petersburg went through [during the WW2 siege of Leningrad], when the Germans deliberately burnt down theCatherine Palace just as an icon of Russia. And now they see Germany leading the call for war on Russia—and they don't see Trump doing anything about it.
Russians also understand that Putin needs to play at negotiations to keep Russia’s partners (China and Iran) in line. But Trump has lost credibility, has blown the opportunity for a meaningful relationship:
Trump has missed the boat. He is not going to be able to come back because he's seen as weak. He's seen as unable to show that he has the political strength to mean what he says. This is what the Russians keep saying: ‘We're not asking for anything from America except for a relationship. What does a relationship mean? No, it doesn't mean a little bit more money here, or we will invest more with you in the Arctic. It means when you say something you mean it—and do it. And we mean it.’
In particular Russians are deeply offended by Trump’s crassly transactional approach to what he calls “peace”, the horse trading approach of, you give something and we’ll let you have something else: “We’ll get into a ceasefire and then we'll divide up a bit of territory.” For the Russians, says Crooke, peace can only come with a change of consciousness, and they are deeply angered at what they see as Trump’s demeaning of them, not to mention the hectoring tone of his statements. The Russians view is that Russia is engaged in an existential battle for survival against the predatory Anglo-Zionist West, and peace is not a matter of a grubby real estate style of deal making.
And especially the Russians are offended that this is coming from a president whom they now see as fundamentally weak. Crooke goes into some detail on this score. There are two salient points.
First, the Russians are fully aware that the CIA is in overall direction of the war on Russia. This has been admitted in the NYT but, in any case, Russian intel would have confirmed that long ago. The Russians, as serious practitioners of intelligence, make a study of US politics and governence. As Crooke points out, they will have known that Biden signed a “finding” instructing the CIA to oversee attacks into Russia. All of our legislators will understand that, as well. Without that “finding” no action would have been authorized. Trump could have come up with a new “finding”—but he hasn’t done so. Instead, he blathers on about how his war—the war he prepared and has now inherited—is actually someone else’s war. The Russians aren’t amused. And they know that the Euros do what Trump allows them to do. If Trump doesn’t change the “finding” it’s because he doesn’t want to—in which case his public statements about wanting peace are lies—or because he’s unable to do so politically. In either case, these are the acts of a weak president.
Second, the Russians have taken note of Rubio’s duplicitous Senate testimony about sanctions, suggesting that additional sanctions are up to the Senate and outside Trump’s control. Everyone knows that Trump can issue “findings” that would change matters. But he doesn’t do so. Again, the Russians are neither amused nor impressed. They may not care that much about sanctions, but this is one more sign that Trump can no longer be trusted or given the benefit of the doubt:
[Russians] now know perfectly well that Putin understands a deal is almost impossible to conceive with America now, unless Trump is able to show that he has the political clout to be able to say something and to mean it and to take it forward in political action. And they don't see That, of course, means that we're heading towards escalation.
Here’s Crooke’s good news/bad news take:
I don't think it's going to lead to a wider European war because the Europeans are not capable of it. … But what they are intent on doing is to try and push Trump increasingly into an escalation against Russia. They want to do this to undermine Trump and to undermine his program because they first of all hate him and, secondly, it's because they fear the consequences of his economic program. The economic program can destroy Europe and they understand that, so they don't want that to happen.
It's not just Russia, it's Iran seeing the same thing—seeing that [Trump] does not have the capability to have a relationship where he can say something and mean it it. Because one day it's one thing, the next day it's a different thing, then it's something else. When he was at West Point just over the weekend he said, "The power of the military is to crush our adversaries to kill our enemies and keep the American flag flying across the globe." Does that sound to you like someone who wants a relationship with Russia and Iran, or someone who's interested in global hegemony? That's what it sounds like to the rest of the world, and the credibility of America is going down the drain with it.
This calls to mind the very weak sounding statement that Trump made last week about his genocide in Gaza, which is garnering—at long last—worldwide opprobrium. "We are having talks with Israel about ending the Gaza war as quickly as possible". If anything confirmed for the entire world that Trump isn’t running the show, that statement did.
‘The Europeans understand that Trump’s economic program could destroy Europe’. I wonder about this. The Euro elites seem fine with destroying European agriculture, German manufacturing, and the market for affordable Russian energy and Chinese goods. The American project of undermining European manufacturing and manipulating the leading producers to relocate to America was well underway during the Biden admin. And they had no problem with this. I think they hate Trump because he signifies a revival of the old America First policy of the 30s. The entire European political class is ‘invested’ in the EU. They have no democratic mandate to govern, hence the loud accusations of ‘fascism’ proceeding from an emergent ‘populism’. The EU was established on the basis of Nato, that is, on the basis of American military occupation. Remove that occupation and the whole political class and it’s institutions become a levitation act. They seem to think that their only chance is to stridently declare a state of emergency to meet this wholly fabricated ‘Russian threat’, and ward off any real challenge to their authority and right to govern. Fear of democracy goes hand in hand with fear of Putin. If America withdraws to the other side of the ocean Russia will stay right where it is, a thriving superpower well able to make promises and make good their words. That gives Europeans options they did not previously have. Trump is the face of an existential threat to the European political class. He flounders, lies, and more but behind the Reality Show there is an American movement that really threatens Europe like nothing else. There’s much more to say about this. What we are witnessing is a massive and traumatic display of cognitive dissonance. These people really regarded themselves as the advance guard of human civilisation. Where they led, all would follow. But now? With each passing month we are treated to a spectacle of this horde of mediocrities displaying their ugly hereditary ethnic hatreds as their reason to be. The world is stunned, all this unexpected, hard even to believe. But behold!
Alistair,
Bang on mate, every point made, bloviator in chief Trump is viewed by many as weak, as duplicit, excelling in double, treble speak, his tongue a double edge, essentially he is .. as hast been the want of the last 2 generations together the present generation of U.S politicians and the educated, so called polite society considered by many around the globe to be bereft of any real intellect, hardly surprising whenst considered against the U.S education statistics, a vast majority barely able to read to sixth grade level, maths and science literally non existent, critical thinking? What on earth is that?, however this is not to suggest the entire nation are gormless fools, morons, far from it, but there seems to be an inherent mental acuity weakness that has manifested across all strata of U.S society… including and especially on the evidence, afflicting the supposed “polite society and monied mob”.
They’ve had it easy for to long, compliant governments, corrupted administration functionaries at most levels of governance, no better exacerbated the now multi tiered justice system, once that goes as they say, it’s all over rover.. add Education, Intelligence, Military, Treasury even the Fed manipulating “ free Capital Markets” the entire financial market a cesspool of conflicted interests, corruption on steroids, regulatory agencies that do all but, even medicine, practioners in the once reverent class tainted, sciences corrupted, for what… that edge, that extra buck or million of… don’t look here, look there, investigations that are anything but, conjecture abounds, the conspiracy theories no longer conspiracies… on and on..
As a consequence the world grapples and ceaselessly it seems, bounces from conflict to conflict, policy dik tat to policy dik tat, along an ever changing highway littered with the detritus of hubris, bellicosity, greed, avarice, plunder and pillage, of coveting more… the unsatisfied, malcontents running the show, calling the shots, the entire bourgeois lot of these immoral wannabes who indulge their greatest passion of finger pointing, of haranguing to the point of boredom, they are obnoxious and rude, pray tell you never have to deal with any of these self entitled types on your travels or worse, theirs, insufferable most are.. loud, haughty, arrogant a far cry from the countless ordinary rank and file U.S citizens including what seems a declining number of true professionals across all professions that I have encountered my many trips up to the states, having on occasions dragged my entire family with me as we criss crossed that great nation, meeting so many polite, well mannered, kind and though… many not having much at all, will offer the shirt off of their backs to you… helpful, a willingness to engage, a crying shame for that now is the exception, recent sojourns proving that decline, for that was the true America, a once great nation chock a block filled with really great people, people who were truly centred, had real moral fibre and backbone unafflicted the immorality that is today’s moral threshold.
Somewhere along the line they, the U.S have lost it all, fiscally, militarily, technologically, militarily technologically, educationally, morally, virtually bankrupted in the aforementioned their incessant spending has virtually bankrupted the nation, international buyers no longer keen to hand over their hard earned to support profligate spendthrifts, for what reason, to be abused, bullied, sanctioned, to have it .. well, just squandered on death, conflict, division, to have it confiscated when it suits?
Nope enough already, sadly, the U.S’s worst is about to confront an ill prepared nation cannibalised from within, its very foundations corrupted … infrastructure broken, non existent, trickle down? say again, what is that, some kind of an old age issue or ailment, personal greed has destroyed one of the greatest nations humanity has ever witnessed, it’s time at the top as history confirms, the shortest of any nation that climbed that pinnacle… thankfully so, you would need to be a sociopath to want this to continue… now we are witnessing the truly demented, psychotic or pure evil thinking, believing they can foment a conflagration with either of the other truly global superpowers and actually win, this mindset buttressed these warmongering elites happy to sequester themselves underground, in their bunkers emerging when it’s all over to what… and therein lies the biggest joke of it all, they actually believe they can, they have the will as misguided as it is… just to actually do that.. the entire lot of them, the 1% of the 1% .. the rest in their eyes mere fodder, considered by the .01% to be shit kickers like the remaining 99.9%, irrespective the 000’s attributed those outside of the 001%’s nett worth, guess if your not a multi Bill you just haven’t made it… pray tell just who do they think will be left to buy their shit, to earn them their profits? Laughable really…
However, one could be forgiven for believing that unless we are witnessing one of the greatest deceptions or political ruses ever undertaken by 47’s present posturing, by his now ceaseless flip flopping bellicose rhetoric which is not only offensive but off of the charts, rhetoric and a hubris that is alienating everyone including long standing allies, it seems that the hope engendered his campaign was exactly that.. hopium, lots of it, meaningless tripe as each day passes and initiatives tried are failing and manifest.. searching for answers and commensurate what we know has occasioned for so long behind the scenes, one cannot help but think that the Brits win after all, 1776, their own ruse, they played the long game, ceaselessly over the centuries they have endeavoured to undermine their biggest defeat and how they’ve played it, the U.S has been played well and truly and the chickens are now about to roost.. sad, just terribly bloody sad, frustrating for what once promised so much.. blame.. the U.S need only look in the mirror is all that’s left to opine… just saying
